City Taxi is a cab service located in Budapest. Founded in 1982, this privately-owned company aims to offer reliable services at fair prices. It was the first to respond to market demand in the 1990s, offering quality services as well as reliability. City Taxi has a fleet of almost 300 environmentally-friendly cars, including hybrid and electric vehicles. Drivers are selected from among those who have been working for a cab company for at least two years, have a basic knowledge of a foreign language and have passed a city knowledge test. The service accepts credit card payments and also offers a mobile app for easy booking. Fares are based on mileage and travel time, with a starting rate of 1100 HUF. City Taxi is also available for transfers to Budapest airport.
