MÚZEUM KÁVÉHÁZ
Delicious traditional cuisine to be enjoyed in a chic restaurant next to the National Museum in Budapest.
As its name suggests, the restaurant is located right next to the Hungarian National Museum. Elegant lunches and dinners are served in a sumptuous setting at the end of the 19th century. The beautiful earthenware tiles that cover the walls come from the famous Zsolnay factory (dating back to the 1880s). Some of the woodwork is even older and the equestrian fresco is by Károly Lotz. Traditional dishes are at the height of the place: fine and succulent. The faithful swear that it is one of the best restaurants in the city.
