French-inspired cuisine, brunch and evening in a charming café-bistro with terrace in Budapest.
Le Déryné, once a neighborhood pastry shop, has become a café-bistro with a harmonious and jazzy decoration: black and white tiles on the floor or parquet, perfect lighting, library decor. One feels a bit at home here. A good stop for lunch or dinner (the menu is inspired by French gastronomy), on the terrace in season. The place is often packed for dinner and until late at night. Among the most notable: live piano or gypsy jazz frequently in the evening, and brunches that are hard to leave on weekends.

The food was delicious - at least what we tried (duck leg, mashed potatoes, and a traditional dish with pork meat inside a leaf. Was terrific).
It was a great experience.
