Rumour is one of Budapest's Michelin-starred restaurants. It is run by chef Jenő Rácz, founder of the establishment, which opened in May 2021. Here, you're served a creative gourmet menu directly at the counter. As a result, customers can watch the entire kitchen being prepared right before their eyes. It's a fusion of Hungarian, Asian and Nordic flavors. The dozen or so dishes follow one another in brilliant succession, and every bite is a treat for the taste buds. The staff speak good English and the service is very attentive. A top-notch culinary experience.

Hatalmas élmény volt, nagyon jól éreztük magunkat. A zene, a látvány, az ízek, az ételek bemutatása, minden profi volt. Örültünk, hogy Rácz Jenő is ott volt. Jó volt megkóstolni ennyi különleges ételt. Jól laktunk. Mindenkinek ajánlom.

Születésnapomat ünnepeltük a párommal. Kedvesen fogadtak, kísértek minket a bárba és vissza az asztalhoz. Az ületés tetszett, mindenhonnan belátni a konyhába, látni a tálalást és a felszolgálást. Az ételek látványa, összeállítása és ízei is tükrözik a profi munkát. A fogások előtt minden esetben ismertetik az alapanyagokat, kigondolást és ajánlatot tesznek az elfogyasztási sorrendre is. Sokszor érdekes információkat is mesélnek ezekkel kapcsolatban. A felszolgáló elmondása alapján a 12 fogás ételeinek összsúlya 1.2 kg, én éhesen mentem és teljesen jóllakottan jöttem el.

Upon confirming your reservation, the journey begins. With a location shrouded in secrecy, guests embark on a quest, ultimately discovering a "clandestine" entrance that leads to an extraordinary culinary experience.

At Rumour, I encountered an unconventional yet mesmerizing dining affair. Seated at the counter, immersed in the kitchen's bustling rhythm, I embarked on the Pre-Theater experience curated by the ingenious Chef Racz Jeno and his synchronized team.

The feast that unfolded was not merely a culinary indulgence; it was a sensorial symphony. Each dish presented itself as a masterpiece, both in taste and aesthetics. The marriage of flavors, inspired by global cultures (from the chef's voyages), offered a tantalizing journey for the palate.

The simplicity and depth of flavors found in the burnt cauliflower dish left an indelible mark, showcasing the elegance in simplicity. Equally captivating was the Toriyama A5 Wagyu, a testament to culinary perfection and taste. But there was more as can be seen by the few photos that I took for my memories.

Moreover, the staff augmented the evening, adding a touch of warmth and hospitality to an already remarkable affair.

The quality of each dish is still excellent, and the theater seating remains an engaging experience. But the menu has gotten a lot shorter. One of us was still hungry after the meal. So no longer fantastic value or an absolute must.
