Stay in a remarkable spa hotel in Budapest.
The famous Gellert and its splendid fin-de-siècle thermal baths were built between 1916 and 1918, in a skilful blend of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. After damage caused by the Second World War, the wing facing the Danube was not reopened until 1961, while the section facing Kelenhegy Street was not reopened until 1971. The hotel is due to reopen in 2027, after a long-awaited facelift by Mandarin Oriental, its first address in Hungary.
