A pioneer in the diffusion of contemporary art in Hungary, Károly Szalóky opened his gallery in a steep street that climbs up to the Castle Hill in 1990. It currently welcomes twenty-two artists from all over Europe and the world and is very active in promoting young Hungarian talent, particularly at FIAC. Pami the artists who exhibit, we find the photographer Péter Korniss or the French painter Françoise Gilot. The gallery has a second exhibition space at number 14 on the street.
