The best Gypsy musicians gathered in an orchestra celebrate New Year's Eve (classical music, ritornelli...).
One of the best known Gypsy orchestras in the country. Founded in 1985, it performs every year in one of Budapest's major concert halls on New Year's Eve (often in the Kongresszusi Központ), as well as on several other occasions. Its members, excellent gypsy musicians, play classical music (Strauss, Brahms, Liszt, Bartók) as well as the most popular Hungarian folk songs (and nóta). The concert is accompanied by a dinner and Hungarian wines.
