A superb view of the Danube emerges from these seven white stone turrets linked by a tower since 1905.
In the Middle Ages, this was the site of the Fishermen's Bastion, a defended section of the town in the hands of the fishermen. This delicate white wall with seven towers was built for the Millennium celebrations between 1899 and 1905, in neo-Gothic style. From the Fishermen's Bastion, which never served any military function, the panorama of the city is nothing short of spectacular. The Bastion now houses a café and restaurant. Admission to the Bastion is charged during the day in high season.

Nous avons également visité l'église qui est très jolie aussi bien intérieurement qu’extérieurement.
L'effort est récompensé par une belle place, des fortifications et un bâtiment aux allures de château de sable. Prenez encore un peu de hauteur pour pouvoir admirer la toiture de l'église au milieu de la place.
