Bridge linking the district (Pest) and the district (Buda) at the Budapest Polytechnic University.
Built between 1931 and 1938, and completed in 1952, the austerity of the Petőfi Bridge is the fruit of its era, that of the great crisis that hit Europe and the United States. It links the5th district (Pest) and the 11th district (Buda) at the height of the Budapest Polytechnic and Economic University, or the A38 boat bar (Buda side). Its name comes from the poet Sándor Petőfi (1823-1849), considered Hungary's nationalist poet. Until 1945, it was known as the Miklós-Horthy Bridge. It is 348 m long and 25.6 m wide.
