Budapest's Palace of the Arts, home to the Ludwig Museum of Modern Art and two prestigious concert halls.

Opened in 2005, the very modern MUPA, (Művészetek palotája), houses the Ludwig Museum of Modern Art and two prestigious concert halls. Opposite it stands the new national theater (the Nemzeti színház), with a rather questionable aesthetic! The Ludwig museum has a permanent exhibition of contemporary artists from all over the world (Warhol, Rauschenberg...) and Hungarian artists. The temporary exhibitions are worth the trip, in this district slightly set back from the center, but very accessible by public transport.

The national theatre and the museum of modern art resemble themselves including two drops water! On both sides of the heroe's square, the two buildings opposite. The permanent exhibition will delight art lovers.
