Museum presenting a remarkable and comprehensive exhibition on the different periods of Victor Vasarely's career.

Hungarian-born painter Victor Vasarely (1906-1997), leader and creator of the kinetic movement also known as Op Art, has donated his works (paintings, sculptures, advertising graphics, etc.) to the Musée des Beaux-Arts. The artist, born in Pécs, moved to Paris in 1930, where, in parallel with his advertising work, he undertook research into axonometric perspective and linear derivations. A remarkable exhibition covering the different periods of his career.

Lovely museum. I particularly enjoyed the colours exhibition. Was unsure why one of the works was hung upside down. Arguably it makes little difference but not what the artist intended.
