KOGART
Former classicist-style mansion from the late century in Budapest housing an art gallery and café-bar.
This former late 19th century mansion in classicist style was bought and renovated by the Hungarian banker-collector and art collector and incidentally wealthy Gábor Kovács, who gave his name to the building. There are quality temporary exhibitions throughout the year (see website for details), including but not limited to Hungarian painting. The Kogárt is also a permanent exhibition/gallery of contemporary Magyar art on the second floor (20th century) and a café-bar-wine shop.
