PLACE CORVIN (CORVIN TÉR)
A place to visit in Budapest, home to delightful low-rise houses dating back to the century, and the splendid Vigadó de Buda.
The delicious low-rise houses of Place Corvin, remnants of the 18th century, contrast with the polluted Fő utca. Admire the Capuchin church, restored in a romantic style, and especially, at number 8, the splendid Vigadó de Buda, which has been prodigiously renovated. Called the House of Traditions (Hagyományok Háza), it is home to exhibitions and concerts. The Hungarian national folk dance company, Magyar Állami Népi Együttes, regularly performs there.
