The Ruszwurm, a small baroque tearoom founded in 1827, is the perfect place to enjoy a pastry after a visit to the castle. Empress Elisabeth (the famous Sissi) was a frequent visitor. Ruszwurm's pastry shops were so famous that couriers were sent from Vienna to supply a few privileged gourmets with cakes. The beautiful Biedermeier-style furniture in the small tearoom (renovated in 1960) is now a listed building. Even today, the quality of the pastries continues to enhance the reputation of this establishment.
