Archaeological museum with numerous objects of the Iberian culture found in the province of Albacete
The first pleasure when visiting this archaeological museum is the building itself, perfectly integrated into the charming Abelardo Sánchez Park. Created in 1978 by A Escario, it is now classified as a property of cultural interest. Its interior houses many objects of Iberian culture found in the province (Chinchillina, Hellín) as well as beautiful mosaics. There is also a "fine arts" section where you can see some 40 works by Benjamin Palencia and a Virgin of Sorrows by the sculptor Francisco Salzillo.
