CATHÉDRALE DE SANTA MARIA DEL PRADO
Cathedral with a unique nave of great proportions, a magnificent wooden altarpiece and a work by Giraldo de Merlo
It is the most recent of the city's Gothic churches. Its construction was completed in the 16th century, but it still has the Pardon Door (with its beautiful rose window) from the old 13th century church. It has a single nave of impressive proportions, the largest of this style in Spain after that of Girona, and is best known for the magnificent wooden altarpiece (17th century), located behind the altar and the work of Giraldo de Merlo, which combines Baroque and Classicism.
