Lace Museum presenting the stitches, styles and works of silk lace from Almagro and other cities
Since 2004, Almagro has had a Lace Museum where the different stitches and styles of lace from the city and some other municipalities in the Campo de Calatrava are presented, a craft that has been rooted for hundreds of years. In the 19th century Almagro became the point of reference for Spanish lace, thanks to its laces made with silk threads. You will see beautiful works: veils, fans and scarves as well as the famous mantillas, made of silk thread but also of linen, wool or cotton.
