MONASTERY
Church designed by Francisco de Mora, disciple of Juan de Herrera in Uclés
Due to the time of its construction and the improvements made, three architectural styles can be distinguished: Plateresque, Herrerian (last stage of the Spanish Renaissance) and Churrigueresque (Baroque of the early 18th century). There is a 16th century cloister with two floors of galleries. The church was designed by Francisco de Mora, disciple of Juan de Herrera. The façade of the Medio Día is attributed to Pedro Rivera. This monastery is also the arrival point of the Camino de Uclés, a pilgrimage that starts from the church of Santiago in Madrid.
