PALACIO DE ANTONIO DE MENDOZA
Do not miss this palace located in the former Convent of the Piedad and admire the remarkable facade, work of Alonso de Covarrubias
The palace is located in the former Convent of the Piedad, which has a remarkable facade, work of Alonso de Covarrubias. The style of the interior courtyard is one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Castile. The visit to the cloister allows us to admire other elements: the staircase with its coffered ceiling and the great imperial coat of arms, transferred here in the 19th century from the door of the Market in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, which has now disappeared.
