PUY DU FOU ESPAÑA

Just a stone's throw from Toledo, here is the first international variation of the famous Vendée park of Puy du Fou. As in France, it offers since 2019 a spectacular journey through the History... of Spain of course! All day long, you can wander around the 30 hectares of the site, especially in the four period villages reconstructed to take young and old children on a journey back in time, and you can attend the four shows, each lasting around thirty minutes, which take place before the sun goes down. This is an opportunity to delve into the history of the Spanish playwright Lope de Vega, the Cid Compeador, a Christian mercenary knight and hero of the Reconquista, to admire jousts involving hundreds of birds of prey in an open-air amphitheatre, or to accompany the famous Christopher Columbus on his discovery of the New World. Once night falls, you can enjoy the magic of the night show El Sueño de Toledo (" The Dream of Toledo "), which features almost 200 actors (!) and superb special effects to recreate 1,500 years of the history of the Iberian Peninsula. From the reign of Recarède I in the 6th century to the arrival of the railway, you'll be amazed! And for your ears, the shows are translated into French thanks to the park's free application. Finally, dozens of food and water points (beware of the extreme heat from June to September) are also available throughout the park. Not to be missed!
