ILOA LEISURE CENTRE
The Iloa Leisure Center, with a snack bar, is a place of relaxation that encourages walking and all leisure activities.
At the gateway to the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, just a few minutes from the center of Thiers, the 70-hectare site includes the Thiers Dore et Montagne Aquatic Center and a Natura 2000 zone. Set in the heart of nature, the site is an ideal place for walks and leisure activities, with play areas for children, picnic areas with barbecues, three orienteering trails and much more. Swimming in the lake, which has been awarded the Blue Flag label, is supervised in summer. The community aquatic center is also very well equipped. A large 25 x 400 m sports pool welcomes swimmers. This is complemented by a leisure pool featuring a bubble bench, massage jets, a counter-current river, an educational play lagoon and a 60 m waterslide. Outside, a play area with water games delights the children, while their parents enjoy the terrace with deckchairs and parasols. Here, young and old (baby swimmers from 6 months, teenagers and adults) can learn to swim at the swimming school. Sports activities are also organized: aquagym classes, aquatraining, aquabike, etc. The Iloa site is also home to a fishing pond (free card for Thiernois residents), as well as a campsite in summer. A 24-hour service area is available for motorhomes. Pitches are free and limited to a maximum of three days. During the summer months, cultural events (concerts, exhibitions, etc.) and sporting events (races, canicross, etc.) bring the area to life.
