MAY FACTORY
Former cutlery factory in Thiers' Vallée des Usines, next to the "Le Creux de l'Enfer" contemporary art center.
In the heart of the Vallée des Usines, the May factory dates back to Thiers' industrial heyday. In 1895, it opened on the banks of the Durole as a cutlery factory. Today, it has been converted into an original cultural space. Located next door to the Le Creux de l'Enfer contemporary art center, the latter is temporarily housed in the Usine du May, while renovation work is carried out. Usually, the site opens its doors to the public for exhibitions, shows and other events (program on the town's website).
