Dedicated to the patron saint of the city, this basilica has a large quantity of traditional Talavera tiles, which earned it the name "Sistine Chapel" of ceramics. The interior walls are decorated with representations of religious scenes, the oldest of which date back to the 14th century. Of note is the large ceramic altarpiece that decorates the right side of the main chapel. In its present form, it combines Renaissance and Baroque styles.
