PARADOR DE OROPESA * * * *
Parador in a XIV century palace with rooms including one with a bubble bath and a pool with great views
Housed in a 14th century palace, the former home of the Counts of Oropesa, this historic fortress has the Sierra de Gredos as its backdrop. The views from its superb swimming pool are superb. The facilities are very modern; one room even has a bubble bath. Wi-fi in common areas. As for the food, it will be stewed partridge, migas de l'Aranuelo (fried bread with chorizo and bacon) and for dessert, the famous marzipan of Toledo. In 1930 it was the first monument to join the network of paradores.
