RAMÓN GAYA MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to the most famous Murcian painter of the 20th century, opened in October 1990 on the occasion of Ramon Gaya's 80th birthday
Dedicated to the most famous Murcian painter of the 20th century, this museum was inaugurated in October 1990, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the artist, Ramón Gaya. The visit allows us to follow the different periods of the artist's work, as well as a collection of paintings by friends from his youth. Some of the works show his attachment to painters such as Velázquez, Titian, Rubens and Rembrandt, and the evolution from the dark and sober paintings done in Mexico to the more complex, light-colored recent paintings.
