The walls of the Almohad fortress are now surrounded by beautiful gardens constituting the Parque de la Legión
Today they are surrounded by beautiful gardens that make up the Parque de la Legión. This park is located in the moat of the fortification, near the bastions of Trinidad and San Pedro. At the time of its creation, the exterior elements of the fortification were used to form promenades, squares with fountains and avenues. A few years later, a river with an artificial waterfall was created from the San Pedro ditch.
