PASTELERÍA CANELA
Opened in 2000 by Tomasa Pitel, a baker's daughter, this pastry shop has long remained near the central square of Jerez de los Caballeros. It has now changed address but still produces the bollo turco, the reference pastry of the store and of the city. Since the 17th century, Jerez has been producing this sweet made with almonds and honey. You can also try the other main product of the store, the Pastas de Almendra, the Turkish bollo but with a different format, and other cakes from Extremadura: the perrunillas and pestiños.
