PARADOR DE MERIDA * * * *
Parador with all the comforts, built on the remains of a Roman temple, with rooms with mini balconies and terraces
Located in the city center, five minutes from the Roman theater, this parador is an ancient convent of the eighteenth century, built on the remains of a Roman temple dedicated to the Concordia de Augusto. After having had different uses, Wisigothe church, hospital and even prison, it is now one of the very beautiful Spanish paradors. Still preserving many elements of this glorious past such as the interior cloister and the Garden of Antigüedades, an archeological ensemble composed of mutiny elements, Roman and Wisigoths. The majority of the beautifully furnished rooms overlook the garden, at the rear of the parador, all with mini balconies or terraces and all the usual comfort in a parador.
