This theater is one of the great cultural events in Spain that presents classical and modern works

It is both the most emblematic monument of the city and the most visited. Built in the years 16 and 15 BC at the request of Marco Agripa, son-in-law of the emperor Octavio Augusto, it could accommodate about 6,000 people, divided into three areas, according to their importance and social class. It is worth noting the wall of stages, of great beauty and majesty, which serves as a backdrop, in July, to the Theater Festival of Merida. This is one of the great cultural events in Spain that presents classical and modern works.

Visite du Théâtre Romain à Mérida, Espagne

Situé à Mérida en Espagne, le Théâtre Romain est très bien conservé et magnifique. Le jour de ma visite, des classes d’enfants étaient en répétition vraisemblablement de leur spectacle de fin d’année scolaire : c’était très émouvant dans ce superbe décor ! Les jardins sur l’arrière sont également bien entretenus et d’autres vestiges y sont à découvrir. Un sens de visite permet de voir au mieux les différents endroits du site. J’ai beaucoup apprécié ! Inclus dans les visites du Pass.
