SANTA MARIA DE GUADALUPE MONASTERY
Monastery under the aegis of the Catholic Monarchs, which became the most powerful place of devotion in Spain to Guadalupe
Under the aegis of the Catholic Kings, it became the most powerful place of devotion in Spain and the cult of the Virgin of Guadalupe spread to the New World. Today, it can still be seen in the monastery's church. Although it was looted at the beginning of the 19th century, it still preserves its Mudejar-style cloister, its refectory and the sumptuous gifts offered by rich pilgrims. In the sacristy there is a beautiful collection of paintings by Zurbarán.
