DIOCESAN MUSEUM
A beautiful collection of sculptures, objects of worship and various works in a diocesan museum in Leon.
The Renaissance cloister gives access to the diocesan museum, all the rooms of which are distributed around the cloister. It is one of the most complete of its kind since it houses pieces belonging to all stages of art history, from Prehistory to the 20th century. Of particular note is the room devoted to Romanesque art, which exhibits a collection of sculptures from the 12th and 13th centuries, Castilian and Flemish triptychs, ivory pieces, cult objects and singular codices such as theMozarabic Antiphonary, a 10th century prayer book.
