MUSEO DE LEÓN
Museum that traces all the stages of human activity in Leon, from the Paleolithic to the present day.
If you can't find refuge in the former pilgrims' hospital, now a 5-star parador, be sure to visit the magnificent salons and the small museum housed in the cloister and sacristy. The centerpiece is the Christ of Carrizo (11th century), finely carved in ivory. The museum's collections retrace all the stages of human activity in León, from the Palaeolithic to the present day. There are traces of Romanization and the Middle Ages, as well as numismatic and epigraphic sections.
