Archaeological museum in a remarkable setting in Astorga.

This museum is located, in part, inside a 50-metre long vaulted gallery dating back to Roman times - La Ergástula. This gallery (a prison by name) formed one of the sides of the forum of Astúrica, the Roman city on which Astorga was built. Two floors are added to the restored ancient part, one of which is dedicated to the continuation of the visit. All the pieces on display come from archaeological excavations carried out in the area. An archaeological route, the Roman Route, starts from the museum and requires the purchase of a separate ticket.

BOF, ça plaira pas à tout le monde
Un peu austère avec sa présentation des fouilles archéologiques réalisées à Astorga pendant plusieurs décennies On peu éviter
Pas cher : 3 euros pour adultes
