Palace with plateresque decoration with reliefs of cherubs and fantastic animals, salons and private rooms inside

This palace is a model of its kind, imitated many times over. Its plateresque decoration conceals figures of cherubs and fantastic animals in its reliefs. Inside, you'll discover more than a dozen salons and private rooms, including the main dining room, decorated in Mudejar style, the salón imperio and the "king's bedroom". Part of the Casa de Alba Foundation collection decorates the tour route, with landscapes by Jose de Ribera, Sanchez Coello's portrait of the third Duke of Alba and works by Titian.

Palais de Monterrey à Salamanque, Espagne
Le Palais de Monterrey est un beau bâtiment dans la ville de Salamanque en Espagne. J’ai cependant dû me contenter d’admirer les extérieurs car il était fermé le jour de ma visite à Salamanque. Il peut se visiter mais il y a des jours et heures de visite, bien sûr. Ce sera une occasion pour un prochain séjour.
