IGLESIA SANTA MARÍA LA ANTIGUA
Gothic style church located next to the cathedral, whose interior has architectural elements in Valladolid
Next to the cathedral, the church of Santa María la Antigua was built in the 11th century under the order of Count Ansúrez. Of its Romanesque origin, only its high tower, topped with an original scaled ridge, and its portico (13th century) remain. It underwent several restorations in the 14th century, giving it its present Gothic form. The interior presents architectural elements of both styles and contains some works to discover.
