CATEDRAL DE SAN ANTOLÍN
Gothic cathedral known as the Beautiful Unknown, whose interior is a mixture of Isabelian, Plateresque and Renaissance styles
Known as the Unknown Beauty, this Gothic cathedral was built on the former crypt of San Antolín in the 14th century and was not completed until the 16th century. Before entering, stop to contemplate the Puerta del Obispo and Puerta de los Novios, two portals richly decorated with religious and vegetal motifs. The interior is a harmonious blend of Isabeline, Plateresque and Renaissance styles. There are also a multitude of works of art from the early 16th century and a monumental altarpiece. A plateresque staircase leads to the Romanesque crypt.
