The most beautiful door of the city, where you can find the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus in her arms at the top in Burgos
Located in the south of the city, it is the most beautiful gate in Burgos. It has stood there since the 15th century, but was rebuilt 200 years later with the grandeur and panache that befits a city as dignified, passionate and secretive as Burgos to honor historical figures of Spain such as the Cid or Charles V. It also features the figures of the founder of Burgos, Diego Porcelos, and mythical judges of the province such as Nuño Rasura. At the top, the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus in her arms, hence the name of the door.
