SEGOVIA CATHEDRAL
Visit this last Castilian cathedral built in the Gothic style and discover the works of Ambrosius Benson
Its construction began in 1525 by order of Charles I. It is the last Castilian cathedral built in the Gothic style. The tower measures 88 m and dates from the 16th century. It was inhabited until the middle of this century by the bellringer. The cloister is in Hispanic-Flemish Gothic style. Inside there are works by Ambrosius Benson, Berruguete and Sanchez Coello distributed between the 4 exhibition rooms and the 23 chapels. The extraordinary organ is still in operation. Just for the record, this is the storks' meeting point in the late afternoon.
