ROYAL PALACE LA GRANJA SAN ILDEFONSO
Visit this palace with 40 rooms with Flemish paintings from the 17th century and a collection of tapestries
In 1720, Felipe V built a small square alcazar around a central courtyard. In 1724, four wings were added to house the courtyard. A new facade on the garden side finished the building in 1735. The palace has 40 rooms with 17th century Flemish paintings and a collection of tapestries. The French-style gardens are inspired by those of Marly and the 26 monumental fountains participate in splendid water games. A real Versailles lost in the forest.
