DIOCESAN MUSEUM
A three-story museum located in the former episcopal palace that allows visitors to discover the decoration of medieval rural churches
Opened in 2010, this museum is located in the former Episcopal Palace, a beautiful example of 16th century Gothic. Its renovation has preserved the exterior architecture, but the Renaissance-style interior has been converted into a contemporary space, maintaining the purity of the lines and the neutral tone of the materials. On three floors, the visit allows us to discover the decoration, sculptures and objects of the medieval rural churches of High Aragon; pieces of goldsmith's art from the cathedral of Barbastro and finally objects from the Baroque period.
