HUESCA MUSEUM
Museum with an interesting prehistoric section with pieces from the Paleolithic period in Huesca
In the solemn Plaza de la Universidad, this former seat of the literary university of Huesca, built in the 17th century, reveals some remains of the former palace of the kings of Aragon. Of particular note is a restored room that served as the setting for the famous and bloody legend of the Bell of Huesca, which tells the fateful story of Alfonso III and some of his unruly vassals. Today, the museum houses an interesting prehistoric section with pieces from the Paleolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age, discovered in Aragon.
