MUDÉJAR TOWERS
Unique tower in the world that houses an interpretation center of the Mudejar architecture of Teruel
These two towers, the Torre San Martin and the Torre de El Salvador, remain from the city walls and remind us of the Moorish occupation in the 13th century. The art of ceramics is expressed in a unique mix of green and white glazed bricks. From the outside, you can also see the Mudejar bell tower of the cathedral. The Torre de El Salvador houses an interpretation center of the Mudejar architecture of Teruel. Unique in the world and beautifully staged in a desert environment, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986.
