The Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of Navarre occupies a modern building designed by Rafael Moneo and inaugurated by the Kings of Spain in 2015. The museum's funds were raised through the bequest of photographer José Ortiz Echagüe, a patron of the arts from Pamplona, whose collection includes some 50 paintings and sculptures (including Picasso, Chillida, Tàpies and Oteiza). The venue also hosts contemporary art exhibitions, film screenings, dance performances, etc
