Church with a very simple exterior structure in Tafalla with a large Renaissance altarpiece

The existence of this church, dedicated to Saint Peter, is mentioned as early as the 12th century, making it the oldest temple in Tafalla. The choir dates from the 16th century, while the sacristy was completed two centuries later. The exterior structure of the building is very simple, with a door with five pointed arches. The Renaissance High Altarpiece, attributed to the painter Joaquín Oliveras, depicting various saints, is a precious example of the religious art of this period. Since the end of 2006 the church of San Pedro has been presided over by the Altarpiece of the Church of the Recoleta.
