CHURCH OF SANTA MARÍA LA REAL
Church and former royal chapel with a facade with Navarrese Gothic sculpture that hosted celebrations of the kings of Navarre
Next to the Parador is the church of Santa Maria La Real, which has hosted various celebrations of the kings of Navarre over the centuries. This former royal chapel is especially worth a visit for its 14th-century façade, which is one of the most significant examples of Navarrese Gothic sculpture. Inside the church, above the high altar, there is a magnificent Renaissance altarpiece presided over by a Gothic Virgin.
