PALACIO REAL DE OLITE
Palace divided into 3 parts in Olite with Gothic arches, patios, galleries, spires and turrets
Built in the 15th century, the Palacio Real is divided into three parts: Palacio Viejo (now the Parador de Olite), the ruins of the San Jorge Chapel and the Palacio Nuevo, the only one open to visitors. Its Gothic arches, patios and their galleries, bell towers and turrets are worth a visit. King Carlos III the Noble was responsible for its construction. Known for his love of art and culture, the monarch had one of the most luxurious palaces in Europe built. Its restoration, completed in 1966 after 40 years of work, is striking.
