CATEDRAL DE TUDELA
Gothic cathedral with main portal with sculpted façade, altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin Mary and baroque chapels
A Gothic building erected at the end of the 12th century on the ruins of a former mosque, Tudela Cathedral (classified as a historic monument since 1884) houses, among other things, a magnificent altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin Mary and two Baroque chapels, Dolorosa y Santa Ana. Before entering, it is advisable to stop in front of the main portal, also the Door of the Last Judgement, to admire its spectacular carved façade. Adjacent to the cathedral, the Romanesque cloister, renovated in 2005, is also worth a visit.
