It is a 12th century monastery dedicated to Santa Maria de Irantzu, at the foot of the Sierra de Andia. The temple located in its center does not have much appeal, one can even say that it is a bit austere, according to the rules of the Cistercian order. The cloister has much more charm and you can enjoy the sound of the water flowing from the central fountain. A visit to the monks' cells and the old kitchen gives an insight into monastic life.
