PALACE OF THE KINGS OF NAVARRE - MUSEO MAEZTU
Palace of Romanesque civil architecture of great magnitude housing a museum named after the painter Gustavo de Maeztu
Very beautiful 12th century building with a splendid facade. It is one of the few remaining examples of large-scale Romanesque civil architecture. Its open porticoes supported by columns, its capitals decorated with vegetal motifs or the one representing the battle between the giant Ferragut and Roland are all elements that make its visit indispensable. The palace currently houses the Maeztu Museum, named after the painter Gustavo de Maeztu, who died in Estella in 1947.
