CASA DE CULTURA FRAY DIEGO
Plateresque house with decorated portico and patio surrounded by living spaces, seat of the house of culture
The Franciscan friar Diego de Estella, who came from the San Cristobal family, was a theologian and humanist who lived in the 16th century and wrote many texts of ascetic inspiration. His house, in Plateresque style, has a portico decorated with plant and bird motifs, and a patio around which the living spaces are articulated. The building stretches over four levels and currently houses the house of culture: many events are held there.
